In fall 2016 I l reocated my studio and living habitat to a loft space at the Atlas Building on Jean Talon, Montréal. This was a large sunny studio where I practiced indoor gardening, spirulina harvesting (and for dying fabric), kombucha brewing, painting, dancing, harp building. I lived with a few snail friends and Hank the cat (whom I cat-sotted for the artist Beatriz H whom I shared a studio with the couple years before, see Superstudio 2014-2016). I was also working on installations for three exhibitions and it was a great space to play and work. Part of this experience reverberated the special connection between living and making and how they are quite inseparable for my practice. It also contributed to my decision to try this arrangement in a rural setting where the gardening and other related projects could be expanded infinitely! See current studio 2018- for details.
